There's plenty to do that we didn't get around to.
There's plenty to do that we didn't get around to. Not much to do in the rain but we were lucky with the weather. Would have loved to go to the sealife centre but the tickets are too expensive. The beach is lovely, the family fun is great. It's everything you expect from a British seaside and more. There's not a great variety of places to eat if you want a nice meal but there's a plethora of fish and chips. Highly recommend the lifeboat fish and chip shop, all cooked fresh to order and very tasty. Next time we will spend more time at Scarborough Spa and the hills surrounding it. I have been going to Scarborough for 30+ years and never knew there was another cliff lift down there. We went up to Scarborough Market for our breakfasts, there are 2 cafes and we much preferred the one upstairs, the food was cheap, kids breakfasts were absolutely ideal for my 4 year old everything was fresh and so tasty. A cup of tea is only £1! Where can you get that nowadays?

Gorgeous beaches, lovely Peasholm Park to explore (complete with train – which takes you to Sea Life), tram up and down the cliff and fabulous castle. Staff were very helpful and let us store our bikes securely which is vital for us. The breakfast was also good quality and plentiful. There is a very well run comfortable lounge bar which is unsurprisingly enjoyed by guests and locals together. All round a very friendly place and superb value.

Though I enjoyed my stay, I was disappointed the swimming pool was no longer available, also the hotel is a bit dated and could do with an upgrade.
